Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Mark started ringing handbells as a student at the University of Kansas, making his debut as a director a few short years later. While his day job has varied from teaching orchestra to software engineering, he has been directing handbell groups for over 40 years. Mark is currently the Director of Handbell Ministries at First Baptist Church in Keller and an Instrumental Music Specialist and Substitute Teacher for Keller ISD.

Jeff Barnett is the Director of Worship Sales at Sweetwater. He has 25 years' experience in worship technology as a live sound and recording engineer, system designer, installer, educator, and musician. Jeff works with thousands of churches and worship artists from all over the world, including Jesus Culture, David Crowder, Shane & Shane, and many more. Jeff enjoys working in his home studio and singing with his a cappella group, Smooth Edge 2. Jeff and his wife Brit are proud parents of six kids and are still trying to figure out where the youngest one's left shoe is. (If you find the shoe, please let him know.)

Kyle is a graduate student at Baylor University and Truett Seminary, conducting original research as part of pursuing the dual Master of Music/Master of Divinity degrees. He holds three undergraduate degrees in church music, music history, theory/composition, and Christian ministry. Kyle has served Methodist churches as Director of Music and Worship Arts in Kentucky, Michigan, and Texas for over 10 years. He intends to pursue a PhD in Church Music and to further explore the intersection of church music, worship theology, and music history.

Steven Brooks is a Pastor, Author (Worship Quest: An Exploration of Worship Leadership, Wipf and Stock) and Professor of Worship. He has a passion for the local church as well as a desire for training, equipping, and mentoring worship leaders. Steven holds a Doctor of Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. His primary interests are congregational worship, music in the church, and spiritual formation in the life of the worshiper. Steven teaches Spiritual Formation and Worship at Biola University. He is also the founder of Worship Quest Ministries, which provides resources and training for worship renewal in churches www.worshipquestministries.com.

Kelsey Cogliano serves as Family Ministry Associate at South Main Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, supporting the 527 Tribe, administrative initiatives, and music ministry. She is passionate about helping children and families grow in faith and find meaningful connection within the church community. Through thoughtful leadership, organization, and worship engagement, Kelsey helps create Christ-centered experiences that foster belonging, discipleship, and spiritual growth. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University. 

Dr. Monique Ingalls serves as Chair of the Academic and Professional Studies Department and the Ammann Chair in Church Music and Worship.Dr. Ingalls is dedicated to building collaborative research networks for the study of Christian music and religious music more broadly. She co-founded the “Christian Congregational Music: Local and Global Perspectives” conference, a biennial international gathering which meets in Cuddesdon, Oxford, UK (congregationalmusic.org). She is senior series editor for the Congregational Music Studies book series with Routledge Press. She also was co-founder and first president of the Religion, Music, and Sound Section of the Society for Ethnomusicology. 

GRAMMY®-nominated artist Jan Kraybill is a concert organist, pianist, and harpsichordist; a dynamic speaker, educator, church musician, and consultant; and an enthusiastic cheerleader for the power of music to change lives for the better. In addition to maintaining a very active international concert schedule, Dr. Kraybill is organ conservator at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, and organist-in-residence at the international headquarters of Community of Christ in Independence, Missouri. In these roles she plays and oversees the care of three of the Kansas City metro area's largest pipe organs: the 113-rank Aeolian-Skinner (installed in 1959) and 102-rank Casavant (1993) at Community of Christ's Auditorium and Temple, and the Kauffman Center's 102-rank Julia Irene Dennie-Kauffman Casavant (2012).

Matthew Laube joined the Baylor School of Music in 2022. Before this, Dr. Laube was a doctoral and postdoctoral research assistant at The British Library in 2011 and 2014. Between 2014 and 2017, he was a Wiener-Anspach Postdoctoral Fellow jointly at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Cambridge, where he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Robinson College, Cambridge. Most recently Dr. Laube was a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in History at Birkbeck, University of London. Since October 2018, he has been Assistant Editor and Reviews Editor of the journal Early Music History. Dr. Laube completed an MM in Trombone Performance at the University of Utah, and an MM and PhD in Musicology at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Joseph Martin, a native of North Carolina, earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Subsequently he earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Texas, Austin. He is a member of the staff of Shawnee Press, Inc. as Director of Sacred Publications, with responsibilities for overseeing the editorial and creative direction of the company and also coordinating the recording and production aspects of future sacred publishing efforts. 

John McDaniel serves as Pastor of Music & Worship Arts at Highland Terrace Baptist Church. He provides leadership for the church’s worship and music ministries, fostering meaningful opportunities for congregational worship, spiritual formation, and artistic expression. Passionate about Christ-centered worship, John is dedicated to helping people encounter God through music and the life of the church.

Originally from Recife, Brazil, Maria serves as Lecturer in Church Music at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and as Music Director at Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana (First Mexican Baptist Church), in San Antonio. Before joining the Baylor faculty in 2020, she taught for seventeen years at Baptist University of the Américas, also in San Antonio. Maria holds a Master of Music (1991) and a Bachelor of Music (1987) degrees in Music History and Literature from Baylor University, a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Musicology (1998) from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in Church Music (2021) from Baylor. 

Todd D. Still serves as Charles J. and Eleanor McLerran DeLancey Dean and William M. Hinson professor of Christian Scriptures in Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Dr. Still, who was named as the Seminary’s fifth dean in February 2015, joined Truett’s faculty to teach courses in New Testament and Greek in the fall of 2003. Before coming to Baylor, Dr. Still taught at Gardner-Webb University’s School of Divinity in Boiling Springs, NC, where he occupied the Bob D. Shepherd Chair of New Testament Interpretation, and at Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, TX, where he served from 1995 to 2000.

Art is a worship leader and songwriter based out of Waco, TX where he serves as Worship Pastor at First Woodway Baptist Church. He has led worship for over 15 years for groups that fall all across the age spectrum, and he has a desire to see all generations to encounter Jesus through music. Art holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music from Baylor University. 

Emily Woock, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Music at Concordia University, where she teaches music education, church music, and applied organ. She also serves as principal organist for the Chapel of Our Lord. Holding a Ph.D. in Music Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, Dr. Woock is dedicated to preparing future music educators and church musicians through excellence in teaching, worship, and service.
